What’s New?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre School – Throughout October, November and December the Pre-School Children will be focusing on the following:
 
October
October will be a busy month for the Pre-School children with Gillian spending time with the children on a one on one basis to update all children’s “Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
 
The children will continue to learn about autumn and what happens during the seasonal change from summer to autumn. There will be lots of art work created for our new autumn display as well as some being added to your child’s “Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
 
Gillian is still waiting for some Parents and Carers to bring in family photographs so that your child/ren can add them to the family section within their “PLP” The Pre-School children will have lots fun at their Halloween party, dressing up, exploring spaghetti play, jelly play and pin the broomstick on the witch.
 
November

In November the Pre-School Children will be learning about Guy Fawkes and how to keep safe in relation to bonfire night. There will be lots of bright artwork created for a fireworks display. 
St. Andrews day will be celebrated on Wednesday the 30th of November where the children will be dancing to Scottish music and making homemade shortbread. Along with the Pre-School staff the children will be invited to wear pyjamas to nursery to help raise money for “Children in Need”.
 
December

The Pre-School room will enjoy their annual Christmas party, the date is still to be confirmed but more information will be coming your way soon. There will be lots of Christmas themed activities planned for the Pre-School children to participate in. Gillian and Emma along with the Pre-School children will be busy creating an all around the world Christmas display.

Toddlers– Throughout October, November and December the Toddlers will be focusing on the following:
 
October

October will see the Toddlers finish their “autumn” theme. There has been lots of fantastic artwork completed by the children and this is now on the autumn display within the Toddler room. Throughout October the children will be participating in lots of messy fun preparing and making decorations for the Halloween party.
 
Some of our Toddler Parents and Carers may have received letters about providing Lyndsy with family photographs for your child’s/ren’s development folder.
 
Lyndsy is also waiting on “Birth to Three” forms to be retuned to nursery as soon as possible to ensure that all information regarding your child/ren is up to date.  
 
November

In November the Toddler’s will explore string and bubble painting to create pictures for Bonfire night. The toddlers will be involved in making lots of nice treats for our cake sale for “Children in Need”.  There will be lots of fun activities for the toddlers to participate in to help raise money for “Children in Need”.
 
December

In December the Toddler room will enjoy their annual Christmas party, the date is still to be confirmed but more information will be coming your way soon. There will be lots of Christmas artwork being created for the toddlers to take home. The Toddlers will also have fun in decorating the toddler room for Christmas where hopefully there will
be a special visitor.
 
As always the toddler room staff will continue to focus on observing the children to ensure that their individual needs and interests arebeing met.

Babies – Throughout October, November and December the Baby Room will be focusing on the following:
 
October 

The baby room will have now moved away from themed topics to focus more on the babies as individuals. We will do this by recording lots of observations which will ensure that their individual needs and interests are being met.
Jasmyn is still waiting for family photographs being brought in from home so she can add them to the “My Family” section of your child’s development folder.
 
The baby room staff will be looking at creating a treasure basket and would appreciate any donations of the following items – Scented bags, loofahs, nail brushes and Raffia Coasters.
 
There will be lots of fun to be had at the Halloween party on Monday 31stof October such as spaghetti play, dressing up and opportunities for the babies to explore and move to different types of music.
 
November

The babies will continue to explore their different senses as Jasmyn and the baby room staff have lots of tactile experiences planned.
 
December 

In December we will hold our annual Christmas party and hopefully we will have a special visitor, look out for more information coming soon.
There will be lots of Christmas activities going on for the babies to participate in such as gluing, painting and drawing.
